For the fourth year in a row, C&S was named a best place to work in San Diego by the San Diego Business Journal— taking home first place in the large company category for the third time. 
C&S’s employees took a survey and provided feedback about working for the firm, and cited numerous reasons why they thought it was among the best. Perks like access to wellness programs, team building events, and unlimited sick days topped the list. Employees also like the unique culture at C&S, which encourages transparency, community involvement, and equal treatment of employees, no matter their position.
C&S also fosters a sense of team within the company, even across nationwide offices. Groups like the women’s network, the community service team, and technical focus groups give opportunities for each employee to get involved.
“Most of what we do is behind the scenes, we maintain and build and develop the infrastructure that most people use every day but never think about, so it’s rare that our team gets a chance to get recognized like this,” said Michael Hotaling, senior vice president of aviation. “We are excited for this and it really is all about the team. It is the team that really makes this great culture.”
The Best Places to Work in San Diego is a survey and awards program dedicated to identifying and recognizing the area’s best employers and providing organizations with valuable employee feedback. The rankings are determined by Best Companies Group, which conducts a company assessment that gathers detailed information about a company’s workplace.
