C&S Companies was selected by the Wayne County Airport Authority (WCAA) to serve as one of their on-call consultants for professional engineering and related services for airfield projects at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW). The contract includes planning, design, and construction administration for several airfield infrastructure projects. Some of the specific projects include a new wide-body aircraft parking apron, rehabilitation of Runway 3L/21R, reconfiguration of the Runway 22L de-icing pad, review and evaluation of airfield geometry and design standards, and security fencing. C&S has worked for WCAA since 2001 and previously had an on-call professional engineering contract. Over the past few years, C&S has also completed many airfield development projects at Detroit Metro Airport, including a ground run-up enclosure that reduces noise impacts from aircraft engines on nearby residents.
