
John Trimble, President & COO
The C&S Companies announce several leadership transitions at the firm. John Trimble, P.E., LEED AP, is now president and chief operating officer. He previously served as president and COO of the firm’s engineering/architecture, construction, and construction management groups. In his new role, Trimble will be responsible for day-to-day leadership of all of the firm’s offerings. In his more than 20 years with C&S, Trimble has been responsible for all strategic and tactical operations for eight diverse business units. In his new role, he will continue to grow and diversify C&S, honing the firm’s offerings to meet the needs of a changing society.

Ron Peckham, Chairman and CEO
Ronald Peckham, P.E., is now chairman of the board in addition to his role as the firm’s chief executive officer, managing strategic planning, leadership development, and operational oversight. Peckham was previously president and chief executive officer of C&S. He has been with the firm since 1984 and has served a number of roles, including overseeing the firm’s bridge, highway, and aviation practices; and serving as executive vice president in charge of marketing, business development, business planning, and strategic planning. In these roles he has been instrumental in growing and diversifying the firm, leading to annual revenues totaling more than $80 million. “In my nearly 30 years at C&S, I have seen the company transform from a small municipal engineering firm to a large professional services company recognized across the country for our design and construction skills. I am excited to see the firm transition to its next phase of leadership as we face head on the challenges of the future.”

Orrin “Mac” MacMurray, Chairman Emeritus
Orrin “Mac” MacMurray, P.E., is now chairman of the board emeritus. MacMurray has been with C&S since 1972 and has served as the firm’s president, chief executive officer, and, most recently, chairman of the board. Under his leadership, C&S has grown and diversified, founding five affiliate companies and becoming a nationally recognized provider of professional engineering, architecture, planning, environmental, and construction services. MacMurray, described these leadership changes as “benefitting our clients and customers by ensuring a solid, stable company future and a continuing emphasis on quality, service and diverse full service offerings for the built environment.”
