C&S’s Buffalo office has relocated to a new space at 141 Elm Street, Buffalo, NY 14203. Our phone and fax number have not changed. The building is known as the Planing Mill, a historic building recently renovated into mixed use office and residential space.
According to developer T.M. Montante, “The brick building at 141 Elm Street was originally home to the E.M. Hager & Sons Planing Mill. Built in three periods between 1878 and the 1920′s, the building housed one of Buffalo’s most successful contractors at the time that much of the city was developed. The large masonry building is one of the few intact mill complexes that once were a large part of the industrial landscape of Buffalo. TM Montante Development purchased the property for redevelopment in December 2012. 141 Elm street is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The intent is to restore the building to optimal condition and integrate modern energy technologies to reduce both the building’s energy costs and carbon footprint. The property will undergo a comprehensive exterior restoration and complete interior reconstruction. The project is pursuing LEED certification. The Planing Mill is situated in a prime downtown location close to Route 33, I-190, Buffalo’s Central Business District, the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Downtown Buffalo, and Canalside.”
